Power Scaling in Bleach is one big issue, Aizen who can solo all Arrancar and Captains etc. says Shikai level Yamamoto would beat him (assuming he doesnt know about his Bankai, like many assume) That means Yamamoto if he wanted to could have gone into Hueco Mundo a long time ago, to kill all Hollows and then everyone could just chill... Especially with later content - Hollows are just ants the Soul Reapers leave around so that they have some fun... while the show for nearly 300 ep pretends that Hollows are the equal counter part to Soul Repears...

There wear like four theatrical movies made from Bleach. They’re basically side-quests that have no major impact on the main storyline. They were even written by other people, not Kubo, so they aren’t canonical. In one of them go to actual Hell to rescue Orihime (of course it’s her). What matters right now is that the opening of that film is an expanded version of this fight. I won’t spoil anything, but the fact that he lost control and let the Vasto Lorde out was the trigger for the rest of the movie. And let me say again: not canonical. There’s one centered on Toshiro going rogue to steel something. We don’t know if he did or didn’t (it gets explained by the end of the movie, though), but there’s a lot of lore that pops up in the recent TYBW episodes which directly contradicts the Toshiro movie. So, don’t worry that they make no sense. What happened is that the author of the mango, Kubo, got sick. So he was releasing books slower than the anime was putting out episodes. So after where you are here, every once in a while, there’s another side quest.burn some time, focus on the side characters, etc. but since this scene of mindless Vasto Lorde Ichigo is canon, watching the extended cut of the fight is cool. And I’m not saying any of is BAD. It’s just the anime folks had contracts to fulfill. And once Kubo got better, stuff he created is right by definition, so this filler stuff is pretty, but it adds nothing to the story.
